I am so thrilled to be back at Dr. Coffin, this will be my third year as the Music Specialist here and I could not be enjoying it more. I am so lucky to work with some absolutely amazing teachers, students, and our staff! This school is truly a hidden gem in our vibrant city.
For the past two years we have entered the CBC Music Class Challenge, and this year is no different. This challenge is a great project for schools across Canada to compete in. It allows students to learn, and perform a Canadian cover song, that could potentially be featured on the radio and earn our school many great prizes. I am thinking we will be covering Said The Whale's song called 'Camilo (the magician) as it has wonderful lyrics and a lot of extra production ideas are coming to mind. I always look forward to this project and so do the students.
